The first statements will go to Saudi songwriters only a year after launch, as the company estimates a $90M performance and broadcast shortfall for the MENA region.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 9 February 2026: MDLBEAST Publishing prepares its very first royalty statements to Saudi songwriters, only a year after launching the company’s publishing arm. The first statements are being issued to writers including Moayad Alnafaie, Vinyl Mode, Emad, Cosmicat, Dafencii and Zone+, reflecting early progress towards a transparent, functioning publishing pipeline that can route global income back to Saudi talent while local collection infrastructure continues to develop.
The statements reflect income from global streaming and sync licensing, two revenue categories that frequently fail to reach writers unless works are properly registered and actively administered. Through its publishing administration framework and international representation, MDLBEAST Publishing tracks usage across platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music and pursues licensing income from TV, film, advertising and digital content, then reports and distributes earnings to writers with full transparency.
Talal Albahiti, COO & Deputy CEO at MDLBEAST, says the first statements reflect progress in building an operational publishing framework:
“Reaching the point of issuing our first publishing royalty statements is a significant milestone for MDLBEAST Publishing and for Saudi songwriters more broadly. It reflects the progress made over the past year in building a transparent and functional publishing framework that enables writers to collect their income globally. We are invested in supporting creators to fairly represent their intellectual property as the ecosystem continues to grow.”
The milestone comes during a period of growth of music streaming in the MENA region and Saudi Arabia as MDLBEAST Records and Publishing supports the plans to develop the Performance Rights Organization (PRO) and Collective Management Organization (CMO) structure in the Kingdom to collect performance and broadcast income that local creators are currently missing.
Global music revenue in 2024 was valued at $47 billion with $18 billion accounted for under CMOs, Song Writers and Publishers. Based on the IFPI MENA 2024 report for market value mainly from Label and Artist revenue, at $144 million, and applying the same logic to the MENA region, the market has the potential to mature to a value of $234 million, with $90 million for CMOs, Song Writers and Publishers based purely on 2024 numbers.
Over the past year, MDLBEAST Publishing has helped route international publishing income to Saudi writers through global administration, sync pitching including placements with partners such as Netflix, MBC, Apple and Telfaz11, and creator development initiatives, while building partnerships with collection societies including BUMA/STEMRA and SACEM. The company recently hosted an electronic-focused writing camp at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) with those partners, bringing together talent from more than 10 countries. Further camps are planned throughout 2026, supported by Beast House recording facilities in Riyadh.
MDLBEAST Publishing continues to invite additional Saudi and regional songwriters to work with the company, with transparent reporting and international representation designed to efficiently convert creative usage into paid income.
